Doh Kyu-sang was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission (FSC) on November 2, 2020. Mr. Doh concurrently holds the position of chairmanship of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), a deliberative body responsible for ensuring transparency and fairness in capital markets.
Mr. Doh organized and coordinated economic policy agenda of the Moon Jae-in administration as Secretary to the President for Economic Policy from December 2018 to May 2020.
Since he joined the government in 1991, Mr. Doh built his career and expertise in economic and financial policymaking, taking key roles at the Ministry and Economy and Finance (MOEF) and the FSC. He served as Director General of Economic Policy Bureau at the MOEF from September 2017 to December 2018, as well as Director General of Financial Policy Bureau at the FSC from June 2016 to July 2017.
Mr. Doh received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University and earned a master’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
