The FSC would like to retract Chairman Lee, Keun-Young’s statement made this morning on May 9, 2002, saying Prudential Financial Inc. had begun due diligence on three Hyundai financial companies.

Chairman Lee meant to say that Prudential had expressed its interest in doing so, but the company has not officially proposed any specific details on this matter.
