Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young of the Financial Services Commission presided over a meeting on August 26 for the Securities and Futures Commission for the first time since taking office as SFC chair. 

The SFC Chair outlined the three principles that would guide the operating directions of the SFC. 

1) Strictly sanctioning any illegal or unfair practices that undermine sound market principles.

2) Strengthening communication with market participants to help the capital market serve as a core foundation for productive finance.

3) Streamlining supervisory and regulatory measures to keep pace with the rapidly changing market environment.
