Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission attended the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing event between Hyundai Motor Group and policy financial institutions for mutual cooperation on the Saemangeum investment project on April 6 and delivered congratulatory remarks. In his speech, Chairman Lee discussed the importance of the Saemangeum investment project as a turning point to build the foundation to push for a new high-tech industrial ecosystem and a shift toward a regional economy-driven growth model. In this regard, Chairman Lee said that maintaining this one-team spirit between private enterprises and policy financial institutions is a key to fostering new growth engines for the future of the Korean economy.
