Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission attended the information protection day commemoration event hosted by the Financial Security Institute on July 10 and presented awards to selective companies and individuals that have made contributions to make the financial industry more credible and stable. At today's event, Chairman Lee spoke about the importance of maintaining close cooperation between the government and businesses in the private sector to be able to more effectively respond to newly emerging digital threats in an era of AI transformation. In this regard, Chairman Lee said that authorities will continue to work on regulatory improvements to help financial companies better cope with AI related cybersecurity risks and create a safer and more reliable environment for digital finance.
