Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young of the Financial Services Commission presided over a meeting with officials from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, public housing finance organizations, and related industry groups to discuss ways to speed up the supply of housing on August 28. At the meeting, Vice Chairman Kwon stressed the importance of maintaining close communication between the financial and construction sectors in seeking to resolve the problem of housing cliff. In this regard, Vice Chairman Kwon said that this kickoff meeting will serve as an important starting point to speed up the supply of housing and pledged that the government will make utmost efforts to provide the regulatory support needed to accelerate the supply of housing.
