Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission met with Standard Chartered Group's Chief Financial Officer Manus Costello and Chief Risk Officer Jason Forrester at his office in Seoul Government Complex on October 12. At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the impact of AI in the financial sector and potential risks and the rising competitiveness of Korea as a global financial hub. As the government continues to work on bringing about improvements to the financial rules and regulations in Korea, Chairman Lee said that the Korean authorities will continue to maintain close communication with global financial companies.
